Salzburg Airport has released its summer 2026 flight schedule, placing a clear focus on leisure travel and well-established city links. The programme brings back a wide mix of Mediterranean holiday routes alongside year-round connections, reflecting steady demand for both beach destinations and short breaks. Airlines including Eurowings, Ryanair and Corendon continue to anchor the schedule with regular services across southern and western Europe.

Holiday traffic remains central to the plan, with Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Egypt, Tunisia and Turkey all strongly represented. Eurowings will operate up to two daily services to Palma de Mallorca and twice-weekly flights to Barcelona, while Ibiza returns as a summer option. Ryanair maintains year-round Alicante flights twice weekly, and Antalya sees up to four weekly services with Corendon.

Summer 2026 highlights from Salzburg

  • Greek islands including Kos, Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Karpathos and Zakynthos
  • Italian routes to Lamezia Terme, Sardinia (Olbia and Cagliari) and Corsica
  • Weekly flights to Monastir in Tunisia and year-round Hurghada
  • New summer links to Ibiza and Pristina
  • Seasonal Marrakesh flights and a flight-and-cruise programme to Genoa

City travel also plays a prominent role, with London, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt offering frequent short-haul options. Belgrade remains twice weekly throughout the year, while Istanbul and Dubai continue as key long-haul gateways. Marrakesh stays in the timetable until May, and the Genoa cruise flights, running between late August and early November, add a niche option for sea यात्रies.

Beyond beach resorts and city breaks, the schedule improves access to wider global travel through major hubs. Connections via Frankfurt, Istanbul and Dubai open up routes towards Asia, including Japan, as well as destinations such as Thailand, the Maldives and Mexico City. The mix supports both planned holidays and flexible onward travel without relying solely on peak-season charter traffic.

The 2026 summer season also marks a key anniversary for Salzburg Airport, which will celebrate 100 years of operations on 20 June. An open airport event is planned for the day, giving visitors the chance to see behind the scenes and explore the airport’s history alongside its current activity. Alongside the expanded summer timetable, the anniversary highlights Salzburg Airport’s long-standing role as a practical starting point for journeys across Europe and beyond.
