Ryanair expands Turin base for Summer 2026

Ryanair has unveiled its Summer 2026 schedule for Turin, confirming a third aircraft based at the airport and lifting its local fleet to three. The airline will operate 32 routes with more than 380 weekly flights. Two new destinations, Sofia and Tirana, join the network as part of a programme expected to handle 3.3 million passengers annually, a 21% rise.
The additional aircraft represents a $300 million investment and supports a broader expansion in Piedmont. Ryanair says the enlarged operation will help sustain more than 2,500 jobs in the region. Frequencies will increase on over ten established routes, including Lamezia Terme, Madrid, Malaga, Malta, Marrakech, Reggio Calabria, Seville and Trapani-Marsala, strengthening both domestic and international links.
Summer 2026 at Turin in brief
- 3 based aircraft, including 1 new addition
- 32 routes, with new services to Sofia and Tirana
- More than 380 weekly flights
- 3.3 million passengers per year (+21%)
- Over 2,500 local jobs supported
To mark the launch, fares start at €29.99 and are available through the Ryanair app, subject to availability. The airline again called on the Italian government to abolish the municipal surcharge, arguing that lower charges would allow further investment and traffic growth across the country.
The new links widen Turin’s reach towards Eastern Europe, with direct access to Bulgaria’s capital and Albania’s largest city. Extra frequencies on Mediterranean and Spanish routes also give more flexibility for short leisure breaks and family visits. Popular southern Italian destinations remain well served, while North African and Iberian cities see added capacity during the peak season.
With three aircraft stationed in Turin and a larger route map, the airport moves further into the low-cost carrier’s core network. The figures point to steady growth rather than a one-off increase, and the emphasis on frequencies suggests an attempt to build regular travel patterns. Summer 2026 adds more direct flights and set departure days for anyone planning a trip from Piedmont.
