Resell or transfer: Flybondi has launched a platform that will allow travellers to manage their tickets
Argentine airline Flybondi has introduced its new Ticket 3.0 platform. This service should help passengers manage their travels easily, safely, and autonomously.
According to Simple Flying, with this new feature, travellers will be able to give away, rename, or resell tickets for domestic flights. In this way, the company aims to make the service more autonomous and flexible.
According to Flybondi's Chief Commercial Officer, this initiative will give passengers more freedom of choice, which will be useful in any situation, "Giving our passengers this unique opportunity to resell their tickets on a global scale is a testament to Flybondi's innovative DNA. We have been working hard to ensure that users have the ability to do whatever they want with their tickets: give them as gifts, change their ownership, transfer them, and now resell them."
However, such a service is not common in the aviation industry due to security and regulatory factors. That is why some companies have supported Flybondi's initiative. Although some private companies believe that the resale market could undermine the travel industry, it can also improve the passenger experience and guarantee airline revenue.
Airlines have reported that in order to use the service and perform one of the necessary functions, the customer must access the Ticket 3.0 user account, where all the tickets owned by the traveller are located.
In addition, the customer has the right to resell the ticket 48 hours before the flight and set any price not less than the original ticket price. However, if no one buys it on time, Flybondi allows the passenger to travel, transfer the ticket, rename it, or change the departure date. If the passenger decides to change the date, he or she can put the ticket up for sale again.
