After analyzing the data on airasiaMOVE transactions, the peak days for booking tickets of all categories available in the app are the last week of the month, traditionally after salaries are paid.

Among the most popular destinations booked during 2023 were Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Thailand, and Manila in the Philippines.

74% of airasia MOVE users chose hotels priced between Php3,000 and Php4,800 (USD54 to USD87), with Resorts World Group, Ibis and Favehotel among the top choices for travelers in the region. Interestingly, most hotel bookings were made about 30 days before arrival, while airline tickets were booked earlier.

Why this number? Airasia MOVE users often use the airasia rewards loyalty program. Statistics show that the number of airasia downloads increased by more than 40% in 2023 compared to 2022. In total, members redeemed up to 2.3 billion airasia points for transactions in the airasia MOVE system.
