No more all inclusive: Turkey calls for the elimination of unlimited alcohol to reduce tour prices

Turkey has called for the elimination of unlimited access to alcohol in all-inclusive hotel packages. This decision is expected to help reduce holiday prices.
This proposal was made publicly by the CEO of tour operator Bentour, Deniz Ugur. The need to reduce prices has arisen due to the fact that every year fewer and fewer tourists can afford to travel abroad.
In particular, in 2023, the tourist season in Turkey failed. Inflation in the country is constantly rising, and everything is getting more expensive, which is why prices for vouchers are rising.
The number of tourists this year has decreased significantly. There are several reasons for this. The first is the war in Ukraine unleashed by Russia, which has caused travellers from both countries to travel less. The abnormal heat wave also played an important role.
According to Deniz Ugur, the only way to bring holidaymakers back to Turkey is to reduce the cost of vouchers. In theory, this can be achieved by abolishing unlimited alcohol in the all-inclusive system.

The Bentour CEO believes that dry all-inclusive is perfect for tourists with children who come to Turkey for a healthy holiday. Such tour packages, which do not include alcohol, can be called "family".
This will attract tourists who do not drink alcohol or are not willing to overpay for it.
