New routes to Belgrade, Zagreb, Munich, and Warsaw: where you can travel from airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
Mostar Airport has taken a step forward by launching a direct flight to Belgrade in mid-April. Other airports in Bosnia are also preparing for the summer season. Who will make the most profit this year? Experts are betting on Sarajevo, but Banja Luka is also breaking records.
With the opening of a direct line between Air Serbia and Mostar Airport, as well as the previously signed cooperation agreement with SkyAlps, the story of the fourth hub is over. Thus, starting in the second half of April, the city on the Neretva will be connected to Belgrade, Zagreb, Munich, and Rome," the Sarajevo Times website writes.
"We have six direct destinations, which is a record. We have never had more than three. If we multiply each of the three, that is, where we can go from all directions, we will have more than 100 destinations," said Mostar Airport Director Marko Djuzel.
Initially, passengers will have the new line at their disposal for six months, three times a week. The one-way ticket price is 56 euros, and the round-trip ticket price is 104 euros. A lot is expected from the Herzegovinian airport. Twice as many passengers compared to the end of last year, when more than 20,000 were recorded.
The new flight from Sarajevo International Airport to Warsaw is also of great importance. The winter flight schedule, which runs until the end of next month, offers 12 destinations to passengers, but the focus is on strengthening the lines for the summer season.
"Ryanair is opening six destinations, namely Milan, Gothenburg, London, Memmingham, Brussels and Thessaloniki. SunExpress is opening two direct lines to Antalya and Izmir, and Aegean Airlines is opening a direct line to Athens," reminded Belma Čureković from Sarajevo International Airport.
Prices are also formed depending on the company; for example, from Tuzla Airport, you can fly for at least 75 euros. Regular flights are operated to Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
"Speaking of Germany, you can fly to Memmingham, Dortmund, Maastricht in the Netherlands, Halmstad, and Stockholm in Sweden. Starting today, the winter flight schedule should start, and for the first time from Tuzla to Istanbul," emphasized Jevad Halilcevic, Director of Tuzla Airport for N1.
According to experts, Tuzla Airport will achieve the best results and will approach the mark of almost two million passengers, which is three times more than in 2019.
Tuzla International Airport has informed the citizens of Tuzla Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as all interested parties that Lumiwings Airlines is launching a flight to Istanbul (Turkey) for the first time from Tuzla International Airport, Anadolu Agency reports.
The airline will be established during this winter flight schedule, and the first flight from Tuzla to Istanbul is scheduled for March 5 this year.
Scheduled flights will be operated twice a week (on Tuesdays and Sundays), and interested passengers can purchase tickets at a promotional price of 51 euros one way starting today on the Lumiwings website.
This fulfills another of the promises of a direct scheduled flight from Tuzla to Istanbul, thus expanding the network of attractive destinations to which Tuzla International Airport can be reached.
In addition to the newly established route to Istanbul in Turkey, during the active winter schedule, passengers can also travel from Tuzla International Airport to Memmingen, Dortmund, and Saarbrucken in Germany, Halmstad and Stockholm (Skavsta) in Sweden, Esbjerg in Denmark, Maastricht in the Netherlands, and Basel (Mulhouse) in France/Switzerland.
