In a significant development for international travel, ITA Airways, Italy's national airline, and All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest airline, have inaugurated a codeshare partnership, seamlessly connecting Italy and Japan. This groundbreaking collaboration allows travelers to book flights through the airlines' websites and travel agencies, facilitating smooth travel between the two nations.

Commencing on January 24th, the partnership marks a new chapter in travel convenience. Passengers of both ITA Airways and ANA can now enjoy the ease of traveling with a single ticket. The agreement simplifies the journey, allowing travelers to check in at their departure airport and collect their luggage at their final destination. This streamlined process is a boon for international travelers, enhancing the travel experience significantly.

The codeshare agreement extends to several domestic destinations within Japan, including Sapporo, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Okinawa, and Itami. In Italy, ANA will place its code on ITA Airways' flights to major Italian cities like Bologna, Venice, Turin, Florence, and Naples, all connecting through Rome Fiumicino Airport. This extended network promises a rich travel experience, showcasing the cultural and scenic diversity of both Italy and Japan.

The partnership is a strategic move, fostering economic and commercial ties between Italy and Japan. It opens a gateway for Italian tourists to explore the myriad wonders of Japan and vice versa, inviting Japanese tourists to discover the rich heritage and beauty of Italy. This initiative is not only a testament to the commitment of both airlines to provide top-notch service but also a step towards enhancing cultural exchange.

ITA Airways' collaboration with ANA is its 34th codeshare agreement, a remarkable achievement in just over two years since the airline's inception. This partnership is a reflection of ITA Airways' mission to provide quality connectivity, both internationally and within Italy, boosting tourism and foreign trade. As a wholly-owned entity of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, ITA Airways is committed to innovating in air travel, focusing on customer service, sustainability, and integrated mobility.

The ITA-ANA codeshare agreement heralds a new era in travel between Italy and Japan, making it more accessible, efficient, and enjoyable. It's a significant stride in international travel, promising an enriched experience for travelers and deepening the bond between these two culturally rich nations.
