Marriott International Expands Presence in Poland
Marriott International, Inc., has unveiled ambitious plans to bolster its presence in Poland, with over 10 properties slated to open in the coming years. This strategic move includes the introduction of two new brands - Le Méridien and Element Hotels by Westin - to the Polish market. The expansion initiative is poised to augment Marriott's current portfolio in the country, which comprises 24 properties spanning 12 brands across eight cities.
Marriott's focus on premium brands is evident in its plans for Poland. The upcoming debut of Le Méridien Krakow Royal in 2025 is set to infuse the country's hospitality landscape with European flair and distinctive offerings.
The expansion includes the introduction of Collection brands, with a Tribute Portfolio hotel scheduled for Warsaw and an Autograph Collection hotel slated for Wroclaw. A second Renaissance hotel is also on the horizon, set to open in Gdansk Old City.
The select service segment is another area of growth for Marriott in Poland. Element by Westin will make its debut this spring in Wroclaw, catering to the demand for extended-stay accommodations. Additionally, Four Points by Sheraton is set to expand its footprint with projected openings in Poznan and Wroclaw in 2025. The playful Moxy Hotels brand will add its fifth property in the country, located in central Warsaw.
Marriott's commitment to luxury hospitality in Poland is underscored by the anticipated addition of H15 Luxury Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, situated within the historic Lubomirski Palace in Krakow. Over half of Marriott's development pipeline in Poland comprises conversion and adaptive re-use projects.
Poland boasts a diverse array of Marriott brands, catering to various traveler segments. From The Luxury Collection to select service brands like Courtyard by Marriott and Moxy Hotels, Marriott International aims to offer unparalleled experiences across the country's key destinations.
