Luxury travel in first class: top 5 companies to choose
Jacklyn Sienna Indy travels frequently to find airlines and locations for her luxury travel company. Her criteria for a great flight include service, privacy, food quality, and cultural immersion.
Jacklyn Sienna India has been interested in traveling since she was a teenager. At the age of 18, she worked at Le Bec-Fin, an award-winning French restaurant in Philadelphia," writes Business Insider.
"The restaurant was elegant and luxurious, and the checks were in the thousands," says Jacklyn. - "After working there for five years, I wanted to bring that level of service to travel. In 2008, I founded Sienna Charles, a luxury travel and lifestyle concierge service."
Jacklyn Sienna Indy has been to 90 countries and travels more than 200 days a year. She told us about her 5 favorite airlines.
Air France
Air France's first class cabin, La Première, has only four seats per flight, and it feels like you're flying on a private jet.
"I flew it with my husband, but we also booked it for a family of four," said Jacklyn Sienna Indy. - "It's one of the best flights to Europe because of the thoughtful seat design, the materials used, and the privacy you are given. The food and wine selection is also very high quality."
Air France thinks about the entire journey, from boarding to disembarking. For example, it organizes your transportation to the airport, and if you're waiting in the lounge in Paris, there's incredible food and a spa where you can enjoy a 30-minute treatment.
Emirates
On Emirates flights, Jacklyn Sienna Indy combines work, food, and sleep. She notes that it is a truly private space, so you can relax there.
"I feel comfortable enough to wear a face mask and pajamas, which I can't do in other, more open places," says Jacklyn. - "The airline pays a lot of attention to food quality, and you can taste the difference in the food. It also pays special attention to serving caviar, which I love, and serves great champagne."
Singapore Airlines
Singapore Airlines aircraft have space for double suites for couples and private suites with sliding doors. Private suites also have full wardrobes.
The airline offers amazing entertainment options. The suites have very fast internet and a 32-inch screen. I don't watch TV on board, but the number of movies and educational programs in flight is exceptional. The airline also collaborates with many great partners to create menus and puts a lot of attention to its food offerings.
Etihad Airways
"I've flown in Etihad's first class suites, which really feel like an apartment on an airplane," says Jacklyn Sienna Indy. - "They are really special. You have your own chef. When he asked me what I wanted for breakfast, I said I wanted truffle eggs, and he made them for me from scratch."
The apartment also has a living room and a bed. This is another airline that offers a private driver service to the airport.
Qatar Airways
Qatar Airways has an a la carte menu on demand, so you can ask for whatever you want. The airline emphasizes local ingredients in its menu.
"I like that the airline knows that people work and relax on the plane, so there are different settings in the room for these two environments. While this airline is great, it's not as grand as the other four," shares her impressions Jacklyn Sienna Indy.
