Lufthansa City Airlines Starts Ticket Sales for June Launch
Lufthansa City Airlines, a new division within the Lufthansa Group, has announced the start of ticket sales on April 24, 2024. The first operation is scheduled for June 26, 2024, with a flight from Munich to Birmingham, marking the beginning of the new airline's activities.
The company plans to begin operations with Airbus A320 Family aircraft, as well as the Airbus A220-300, known for their fuel efficiency. Lufthansa City Airlines will be fully integrated into the Lufthansa network, providing feeder services at key hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.
In the initial phase, the company plans to operate flights from Munich to European and domestic German cities, including Hanover, Düsseldorf, and Birmingham. As the fleet expands, Lufthansa City Airlines will add new destinations to its network, increasing its reach.
