Jonathan Bennett Named Godfather to Carnival Firenze
Actor Jonathan Bennett, renowned for his roles in "Mean Girls," Hallmark Channel productions, and Broadway's "Spamalot," is poised for his next major endeavor: serving as the godfather to Carnival Cruise Line's newest vessel, Carnival Firenze, embodying Carnival Fun Italian Style.
Carnival Cruise Line unveiled Bennett as the godfather to its forthcoming ship, Carnival Firenze, a 135,000 gross ton vessel themed around Florence, Italy. It marks Carnival's second ship embracing the Carnival Fun Italian Style concept.
Carnival President Christine Duffy shared the news with Bennett in a surprise announcement, captured in a video. Adding to the convenience, Carnival Firenze will be stationed in Bennett's locale in Long Beach, Calif., where it will be christened on April 24, with its maiden voyage set for April 25.
Expressing his gratitude, Bennett stated, "Being named the godfather of Carnival Firenze is beyond surreal. I've always admired Carnival's commitment to their guests, the environment, and their team members. When I vouch for Carnival as an exceptional vacation choice, I genuinely mean it." He added, "I'm eagerly anticipating not only fulfilling my role as godfather but also experiencing Carnival Firenze as a guest, now that Carnival Fun Italian Style is making waves on the west coast."
Bennett will join Duffy at the Carnival Firenze naming ceremony on April 24 in Long Beach, which will be livestreamed on Carnival's Facebook page.
