JetBlue offers free helicopter transfers from the airport: who is eligible
Travelers from the New York area looking to take a flight in the next few weeks are in luck. Their home airline, JetBlue, is offering free helicopter transfers between midtown and the airport for passengers flying in Mint class.
JetBlue has been partnering with BLADE Urban Air Mobility to provide discounted (and sometimes free) helicopter transfers with its flights since 2022. Frequent flyers with Mosaic 4 status in the airline's TrueBlue program are offered four free transfers per year, but this offer is extended to any passenger flying on Mint routes with a cash ticket, Simple Flying writes.
The promotion applies to flights arriving and departing from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Newark Liberty International (EWR) in neighboring New Jersey.
How does it work?
Complimentary transfers can be booked for arriving and departing flights but must be confirmed with BLADE at least 48 hours in advance. After booking your Mint flight, you'll receive an email with instructions for booking your helicopter transfer to BLADE Airport.
The BLADE airport helicopter transfer must be used in conjunction with a confirmed Mint booking made during the booking window above and is limited to a maximum of four Mint customers per booking. In particular, the terms of the offer state that award flights or Mint flights booked using Move to Mint certificates are not eligible for this promotion.
As TravelWise previously reported, JetBlue announced that it was suspending all flights to Cuba, including those already sold to the island.
