IHG Expands voco Hotels Brand in South Korea
IHG Hotels & Resorts, a prominent name in the global hospitality industry, proudly announces the signing of voco Seoul Myeongdong in collaboration with Gravity Asset Management’s Seoul South Gate Hotel Operations Company and Hotel HDC Co., Ltd.
The property, boasting 576 rooms, is set to undergo rebranding as voco – IHG’s rapidly expanding premium brand – and will open its doors to guests by mid-year. This marks IHG's second voco property in South Korea, following the successful launch of voco Seoul Gangnam in 2022.
Voco Seoul Myeongdong, drawing inspiration from the brand's hallmarks – ‘come on in’, ‘me time’, and ‘voco life’ – promises thoughtful, relaxed, and delightful experiences. This expansion aligns with voco's recent global openings, including voco Osaka Central, voco Ma Belle Danang, voco Xiong’An, and voco Paris Porte De Clichy.
Situated in the vibrant district of Myeongdong, voco Seoul Myeongdong is strategically positioned to cater to both business and leisure travelers, offering proximity to the business district and easy access to attractions such as Deoksugung Palace and Namdaemun Market.
Less than an hour's drive from Incheon International Airport, the hotel will feature an array of amenities including dining options, meeting spaces, an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, business center, and an exclusive voco hotels lounge.
With voco's rapid global expansion, aiming for 200 properties by 2028, the signing of voco Seoul Myeongdong reinforces its commitment to delivering exceptional experiences worldwide.
