Hong Kong International Airport Retains Title as World's Busiest Cargo Hub

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has once again secured its position as the world's busiest cargo airport for 2023, marking the 13th time in 14 years it has achieved this distinction, according to the Airports Council International (ACI). In December 2023, Cathay Cargo announced the acquisition of six new Airbus A350F freighters and options for 20 additional aircraft, signaling its confidence in HKIA's long-term potential as a global air cargo leader. Additionally, Cathay Cargo reported a 20% increase in cargo volume in 2023, handling nearly 1.4 million tonnes, illustrating robust growth and a strong rebound in global logistics activities.
