Holland America cruise ship to stop in Bali
The Holland America Volendam cruise ship will embark on a 132-day voyage called the Great World Voyage 2026 across seven continents, stopping at various destinations, including Bali.
Departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the 1,432-passenger voyage will begin on January 4, 2026. The cruise ship will head south along the east coast of South America to Antarctica. The trip to Antarctica will be a fully scenic cruise with passengers on board, Tempo.co reports.
From Antarctica, Volendam will cross the South Pacific, stop at Easter Island, visit Australia, and continue to Southeast Asia. The journey will stop in Bali, where passengers are invited to visit tourist destinations on the island.
Next up is a trip across the Indian Ocean to the Maldives and Sri Lanka, followed by a transit through the Suez Canal. After a few stops in the Mediterranean, the ship will head to Northern Europe and then complete the transatlantic crossing to bring guests back to Fort Lauderdale.
In total, Grand World Voyage will visit 47 ports in 39 countries and make nine overnight calls to various destinations, including one to Bali.
"We asked thousands of former guests and travel consultants for their opinions on the perfect Grand World Voyage, so this may be one of our most thoroughly researched itineraries for world cruises," said Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America.
