Frost in the middle of the week and +12°C on Sunday: London is in for some sharp temperature swings this week
The weather in London will deteriorate in the middle of the week. Forecasters predict a severe cold snap with temperatures down to -7°C. It will be the coldest at night. The temperature will rise slightly above 0°C during the day.
This temperature will not be accompanied by precipitation. Only occasionally will clouds be seen in the sky, MyLondon writes with reference to the BBC Weather forecast.
The temperature drop will begin on Wednesday night, January 17. Londoners need to be prepared for slippery roads in the morning, frozen cars, and dry and frosty air.
In the afternoon, the sun will warm the capital a little, and the temperature will rise to 3°C. However, it will begin to drop in the evening again.
On the morning of Thursday, January 18, Londoners will also experience frosty weather, but this may be the last day of the week when it will be cold.
A sharp warming to 12°C in the afternoon is expected over the weekend. Sunday will be the most favourable day for walking.
