From now on, United Airlines allows customers to accumulate miles together with friends and family
United Airlines is back with an innovative new feature that is likely to revolutionize air travel for families and groups of friends alike.
The airline has just become the first and only carrier in the United States to allow passengers to combine their miles on a shared account. The only prerequisite for this is that you are a member of United's loyalty programme called MileagePlus. Don't worry: there is no minimum age to become a member, Thrillist.com writes.
Starting now, groups of up to five members can both share and redeem miles on a single account created specifically for the group, whether they are friends or family members belonging to the same group.
With this new feature, the airline aims to make travelling more affordable for families and groups who want to spend a vacation together.
As TravelWise previously reported, United Airlines has unveiled its latest lineup of entertainment for April 2024 through United Private Screening. This month, passengers will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in an extensive collection of Hollywood blockbusters, hit TV shows, and a variety of music playlists and podcasts that will be available during the flight.
