Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach Announces Exclusive Culinary Residency with Moody Tongue Sushi
Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is thrilled to announce the return of the exclusive Moody Tongue Sushi residency, offering guests a unique culinary journey that marries the art of Japanese cuisine with the innovative craft of Moody Tongue beers. From March 7 to March 28, 2024, this limited-time event promises an unparalleled dining experience that food and beer enthusiasts will not want to miss.
Under the guidance of Executive Sushi Chef Hiromi Iwakiri, guests will be treated to a 15-course tasting menu that showcases the finest ingredients and the delicate craftsmanship of Japanese cuisine, with each course meticulously paired with a Moody Tongue beer selected by Brewmaster Jared Rouben to complement and enhance the dish's flavors. Highlights include the luxurious Hokkaido Scallop paired with edamame and Ossetra caviar alongside a Pressed Asian Pear Saison, and the exquisite A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Handroll with wasabi horseradish cream and beef fat breadcrumbs, perfectly matched with a Cherry Oud Bruin.
The Living Room lounge at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach will transform into an intimate omakase dining experience, featuring a dedicated chef's counter. This setting allows diners to witness the precision and skill of Chef Iwakiri and his team firsthand. Complementing the culinary spectacle, the space will be adorned with artwork by Lydia Marie Elizabeth, celebrated for her watercolor pieces that capture the essence of interiors and architectural beauty.
Moody Tongue Brewing Company, established in 2014 by Jared Rouben and Jeremy Cohn, epitomizes the concept of culinary brewing, creating beers that cater to the sophisticated palate. With venues such as The Tasting Room and The Dining Room in Chicago, and Moody Tongue Sushi in New York City, the company continues to push the boundaries of beer and food pairings.
Chef Hiromi Iwakiri, hailing from Kagoshima, Japan, brings over two decades of expertise in various Japanese culinary arts, including sushi, kaiseki, and ramen, to this residency. Brewmaster Jared Rouben, an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America, applies his extensive gastronomic knowledge to the brewing process, ensuring that each beer is a masterpiece in its own right.
