flydubai will start flying daily to Damascus again on 26 June 2025, with flights leaving from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport. The action comes in response to easing restrictions on regional airspace and ongoing reviews of operational readiness. This service, suspended in earlier years due to security concerns and airspace closures, is one of the first to return as part of flydubai’s wider plan to restore its full flight network across the Middle East.
The airline has also indicated plans to resume regular operations across its entire route map beginning 1 July 2025, pending final safety reviews. The airline is revising its flight schedules in partnership with international aviation officials as airspace restrictions lift and rules improve. Resuming flights between Dubai and Damascus reflects rising confidence in the region’s air travel and could open the door to additional route reopenings.
