Flydubai Airlines announced direct flights between Vilnius and Dubai
Lithuanian Airports announces that from October 2024, Flydubai, the airline that will start operating in Lithuania, will start operating direct scheduled flights between Vilnius Airport (VNO) and Dubai Airport (DXB) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Starting from the upcoming winter season, these flights are planned to be operated three times a week. Marius Skuodis, Minister of Transport and Communications, emphasized the importance of this new connection, saying: "Flydubai will thus undoubtedly improve the country's connectivity, investment climate, and economy, ties with Asian countries and their major aviation centers," l24.lt reports.
Thomas Zitikis, Head of Route Development at Lithuanian Airports, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the benefits for Lithuanian travelers. "After many years of discussions, we are delighted to see the realization of our plans with the arrival of Flydubai in Lithuania. This partnership will not only improve the travel experience for Lithuanian passengers but also provide seamless connections to numerous destinations around the world," said Zitikis.
Dubai, a renowned Middle East port and global business center, boasts a strong aviation industry with leading service providers. The city's status as the largest in the UAE, combined with its large Lithuanian community, further emphasizes the importance of this new air connection.
