Exclusive partnership between Hilton and AutoCamp: luxurious camping experience at nine iconic locations in the USA
Hilton announced on Tuesday its plan to offer upscale outdoor accommodations, or "glamping," through its website and app via a licensing agreement with AutoCamp. Under this agreement, members of Hilton's loyalty program will be able to earn and redeem points at AutoCamp campsites, which provide tents, cabins, and Airstream trailers equipped with all necessary amenities.
AutoCamp operates campgrounds at nine major U.S. destinations, including Yosemite National Park. This exclusive licensing partnership will introduce Hilton guests to AutoCamp, a startup supported by private equity firm Whitman Peterson. The brand is known for its focus on providing amenities such as Wi-Fi and complimentary hot breakfasts, as reported by Yahoo! Finance.
This agreement highlights the increasing interest of hotel groups in expanding beyond traditional full-service hotel offerings into other segments. Following the pandemic, Ritz-Carlton has ventured into organizing cruises on small ships, IHG has introduced all-inclusive resorts, and Accor has entered the rail travel sector, among others.
