Etihad Airways opens new routes from Abu Dhabi to 10 cities in India
In 2024, Etihad Airways launched two new services for passengers. From now on, daily flights will be operated from Abu Dhabi to the Indian cities of Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.
Together with the two new non-stop flights, the total number of Indian cities served by Etihad Airways is now 10, underscoring the airline's commitment to providing easy access to its global network for guests traveling to the Subcontinent, writes The Print.
"We have created a fantastic group of non-stop routes between India and Abu Dhabi, providing customers with easier access to our growing network without transiting through one of India's major hub airports," said Etihad CEO Antoaldo Neves.
The airline emphasizes that its passengers can easily reach destinations in the Gulf, Europe, including four daily flights to London, and North America. In addition, they have the opportunity to enjoy a stopover in Abu Dhabi, which opens up new opportunities for continuing their travels.
It is recalled that in 2023, the airline resumed flights to Kolkata, connecting East India with global destinations. In addition, the airline has increased the frequency of flights to Mumbai and Delhi, two of its most popular routes, from two to four flights per day.
Etihad plans to introduce new flights to Boston starting March 31 and to Nairobi starting May 1 in 2024. In addition, the summer schedule includes the first non-stop flight to Nice, as well as direct flights to the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini.
