Emirates Streamlines Dubai Visits for Indian Travelers with Pre-Approved Visa on Arrival
In a significant move to enhance the travel experience for Indian passport holders, Emirates has announced a groundbreaking partnership with VFS Global, introducing a pre-approved visa on arrival facility. This initiative, aimed at streamlining the entry process for travelers flying to Dubai, is set to significantly ease the arrival formalities for Emirates customers, allowing them to bypass the usual queues and enjoy a smoother start to their Dubai visit.
The service, facilitated by the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), grants a 14-day single entry visa, making it a perfect fit for short stays and leisure trips. To avail of this facility, Emirates customers must book their flights either through the airline's official website or through their preferred travel agent. Following the booking, accessing the ‘Manage an existing booking’ section on emirates.com and clicking on the ‘apply for a UAE visa’ link will guide them to the online UAE Visa application platform operated by VFS Global Services. This platform outlines all necessary requirements, terms, and conditions, simplifying the visa application process.
Eligibility for this service is exclusive to Indian passport holders possessing a six-month valid visa for the US, a US Green Card, EU Residency, or UK Residency, underlining the airline's commitment to providing tailored services to its customers. However, it is important to note that the final issuance of visas is under the sole discretion of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs.
Dubai continues to be a premier destination for Indian travelers, offering a wide spectrum of attractions and accommodations to suit diverse preferences and budgets. The city, known for its welcoming Indian community, plays host to family and friends from India and across the globe, with Dubai Tourism statistics highlighting that the city attracted 2 million overnight Indian visitors from January to October 2023.
With Emirates operating 167 weekly flights to nine destinations in India—including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram—the airline ensures unparalleled connectivity. This initiative not only facilitates access to Dubai but also to Emirates' extensive global network, covering over 140 destinations. This move by Emirates, in partnership with VFS Global, exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to customer service, significantly enhancing the travel experience for Indian passengers heading to Dubai.
