Emirates Expands Seoul Flights to Meet Growing Demand

Dubai, UAE– 4 January 2024: In a major boost for international travelers and the South Korean tourism industry, Emirates has announced a significant expansion of its service to Seoul. Starting 19 February 2024, the airline will add three weekly flights to its existing schedule, marking a robust increase in its commitment to South Korea.

This expansion will see the addition of flights EK324 and EK325 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These flights, operated by the state-of-the-art Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, feature convenient timings. Flight EK324 will depart from Dubai at 0445hrs, arriving in Seoul Incheon International Airport at 1805hrs. The return flight, EK325, leaves Seoul at 2200hrs and arrives in Dubai at 0315hrs the next day. This schedule not only enhances the connectivity between the two cities but also offers passengers more flexible travel options.

Emirates' move to increase flights between Dubai and Seoul is more than just a response to the growing demand for international travel to one of East Asia's premier destinations. It's a strategic step to support inbound and outbound tourism for South Korea. The additional services translate to over 1,000 extra seats per week, easing the travel for both leisure and business passengers.

Moreover, the increased frequency of flights is a testament to the strong bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and South Korea. The additional Boeing 777 flights will add 45 tonnes of cargo capacity per week, significantly boosting the trade and economic ties between the two nations. This enhancement is not just beneficial for passenger travel but also crucial for the Republic's imports and exports, strengthening Korea's economy through better connectivity.

Since its inaugural service to Seoul in 2005, Emirates has been a key player in connecting South Korea with the rest of the world. With the inclusion of these new flights, Emirates will offer 10 weekly flights to Seoul, operated by a mix of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This diverse fleet mix promises more flexibility and choice for customers traveling to and from Dubai, and onwards to over 130 global destinations in the Emirates network.
