Passengers at Dublin Airport will have more bus transportation options than ever before after new permits were issued to allow bus operators to pick up and drop off passengers at two of the airport's terminals.
Following a successful tender process for the allocation of bus stops at Dublin Airport, daa has secured commitments from operators to provide a seat for every passenger from 2024, with more than 35 million bus seats expected to be available by 2025, Routes writes.
The operators should also increase capacity in the coming years if demand requires it.
The improvements will take effect from March this year, with more than 1,000 buses per day departing from Dublin Airport in 2024 (up from about 900 last year) and the number of buses increasing to 1,200 per day in 2025, subject to operator implementation.
