A Chinese man stole from three passengers at Singapore Airport, amounting to $23,000
Singapore authorities have charged a Chinese citizen with multiple counts after he was caught red-handed stealing from the luggage of several other passengers on a SCOOT flight from Vietnam to Singapore.
During the three-hour daytime flight, the man brazenly went through the belongings of other passengers and managed to find several pieces of luggage with significant amounts of cash, which he promptly confiscated, as reported by Loyaltylobby.com.
A man allegedly stole approximately S$31,000 (US$23,260) from three passengers on a Scoot flight from Vietnam to Singapore.
Zhang Xiuqiang, a 52-year-old Chinese citizen, was charged with three counts of theft in the District Court. According to the charges, Zhang stole money from three individuals between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on December 16 while aboard Scoot flight TR305.
The flight was traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Changi Airport.
