Budget hotels in Texas raise prices on the occasion of the total solar eclipse
Soon, on April 8, tourists will be heading to the state of Texas to see the spectacular views of the solar eclipse. Given the demand for accommodation during this period, a number of hotels in small towns across the state have raised their room rates by almost 10 times their usual price.
Similar price dynamics can already be observed in towns such as: Junction, Kerrville and Comfort. This was reported by the Dallas News.
It is currently known that eclipse viewing parties are already planned in North Texas. They will be held at restaurants, museums, football fields, colleges, and even the Dallas Zoo. In addition to Texas, neighboring states, including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Illinois, and Maine, are also preparing for a massive influx of tourists.
It is noted that a similar solar eclipse that can be observed in North America will not occur until 2045. That is why devoted connoisseurs of such natural phenomena go to Texas, which is known for its relatively low cloud cover, which allows for better observation of the eclipse.
