British Airways Adds Madrid and Toulon as 50th Avios-Only Milestone

British Airways has confirmed new Avios-Only flights, with 100% of seats on selected services available exclusively for Avios redemption. The new routes will operate between London City Airport and Madrid, as well as Toulon Saint-Tropez, as the airline reaches its 50th Avios-Only service. Seats open for booking on 12 February 2026 through The British Airways Club.
Seats are reserved for British Airways Club members, with one-way redemptions set at £2 plus 21,500 Avios to Toulon and £2 plus 28,000 Avios to Madrid. A 23kg checked bag is included in both cases. All flights operate in and out of London City Airport, keeping departures within easy reach for those living and working in central and east London.
Avios-Only flights were first introduced in 2023. Since then, British Airways has run 48 such services to 16 destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East. Past routes have featured cities such as Cape Town, Barbados, Sharm El Sheikh, Málaga and Marrakesh. The return leg from Madrid will become the 50th dedicated Avios-Only service in the scheme.
The two destinations add variety for summer breaks. Madrid suits late May bank holiday trips, with its museums, food markets and lively plazas within easy reach of the city centre. Toulon Saint-Tropez, a new addition to the airline’s network, provides access to the French Riviera, placing beaches, marinas and Provençal towns within convenient distance of the airport.
The Avios-Only model sets aside every seat on the aircraft for reward bookings rather than a limited allocation. That removes much of the competition for limited reward seats and makes it easier for Club members to plan summer redemptions with more certainty, even during the busiest travel periods. With fixed Avios rates and departures from London City, these services offer a straightforward way to turn accumulated points into confirmed summer travel plans.
