Avelo Airlines Enhances West Coast Connectivity with New Destinations from Sonoma County

Avelo Airlines has made a remarkable stride in its service expansion by announcing the doubling of its nonstop destinations from the Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport (STS), situated in the Bay Area. This addition includes four new routes to Boise, Idaho; Kalispell, Montana; Portland/Salem, Oregon; and Pasco, Washington. With these latest destinations, Avelo sets a new record by offering the most nonstop routes from STS, totaling eight distinct destinations.

The announcement, made amidst a celebratory atmosphere at the Sonoma County Airport, witnessed participation from Avelo representatives, airport authorities, and local community leaders. The event was further highlighted by a special appearance from Snoopy and featured a wine tasting session by Sonoma-Cutrer, adding a festive touch to the significant expansion news.

Scheduled to commence in May 2024, these routes will be served by Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft, ensuring a comfortable and reliable travel experience. In conjunction with this expansion, Avelo introduces an attractive offer with introductory one-way fares starting at $62, aiming to make air travel more accessible and budget-friendly. This initiative aligns with Avelo's commitment to providing value-driven services to its customers.

The establishment of STS as Avelo's new base of operations from May 1 marks a strategic move in the airline's growth, allowing for an increase in the availability of everyday low fares and enhanced service reliability in the Bay Area. This expansion is poised to create employment opportunities, with Avelo planning to hire up to 50 crew members, including pilots, flight attendants, and aviation maintenance technicians, reinforcing its investment in the local economy and the aviation industry.

Avelo Airlines, since its inaugural flight in April 2021, has rapidly grown to serve 48 destinations across 23 states and Puerto Rico, flying over 4 million customers.
