Artificial intelligence has identified the most popular tourist regions in Europe for 2024
This year, tourists in Europe will opt for outdoor activities, as indicated by the findings of the analysis conducted by travel analyst Mabrian.
To gather this data, neural networks (AI) were utilized to analyze spontaneous conversations among individuals discussing their vacation plans on social media platforms between January and October 2023. Euronews reported that more than 380 million mentions related to tourism were processed during the analysis, aiding in determining people's motivations for travel.
The study has revealed a global trend towards more experiential and less traditional travel motivations in recent years. Furthermore, the international accessibility of destinations via air travel was assessed.
As a result, Italy claimed the top spot with four potentially popular destinations, including Piedmont, renowned for its culture, nature, and gastronomy. The second position was secured by Nouvelle-Aquitaine, a region in southwestern France celebrated for its vineyards and oysters. Finally, East Anglia took third place, noted for its harmonious blend of culture and nature.
