An American woman claimed that one question from the parachute instructor spoiled her impression of skydiving in New Zealand
Taylor Spinelli, a tourist from the United States who works as a teacher, shared the unsuccessful experience of her first skydive in New Zealand. According to her, the instructor asked an uncomfortable question that ruined the whole impression of free fall.
The tourist shared her thoughts on TikTok, where her video went viral and gained over 222 thousand likes. Many commenters were divided in their opinions.
Taylor Spinelli said that she was already falling to the ground with an instructor strapped to her back when she heard an awkward question about her work.
Instead of enjoying the moment and admiring the scenery, the extreme sportswoman was forced to answer whether she was scared to go to work at the school every day amid tragic incidents of school shootings.
"I was skydiving, falling with this man who jumps out of airplanes 9 to 14 times a day, and he asked me, a teacher from the United States, if I was scared to go to work every day," the tourist was outraged.
She added that she was not happy with the dialogue and would rather enjoy the view of mountains and glaciers than discuss the problems of Americans.
According to the author of the video, it was not the best time to break the stereotype that Americans are envied in other countries.
"And he's not wrong, but is it necessary to do this when I'm skydiving for the first time, having one of the most magical experiences of my life?" the American woman asked at the end.
