Airbus Helicopters Boosts Guangdong's Public Services with SKYCO Leasing Agreement for Six H175s
In a landmark agreement, Airbus Helicopters has teamed up with SKYCO International Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., a pivotal entity under the Guangdong Provincial Government of China, to supply six advanced H175 helicopters. This strategic move is set to significantly enhance the public service capabilities in Guangdong Province, marking a substantial step forward in the region's aviation industry development.
The collaboration underscores Guangdong's commitment to spearheading the helicopter market's growth in southern China. "This partnership extends beyond a mere transaction; it symbolizes Guangdong's ambition to lead the helicopter sector's evolution. Airbus Helicopters is honored to collaborate with the Guangdong Government on this visionary project," stated Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters. The versatile H175 helicopters are designated for crucial roles such as search and rescue, emergency medical services, and disaster relief, reflecting the province's dedication to public welfare and safety.
Furthermore, this agreement paves the way for an expanded presence of Airbus Helicopters in the Greater Bay Area and Guangdong Province, fostering a robust partnership with SKYCO Leasing. The joint initiatives aim to bolster support and service activities, alongside an industrial cooperation to underpin general aviation's growth by advocating for low-altitude airspace reforms. This collaboration seeks to establish a sustainable business model tailored to China's aviation market, aiming to drive regional economic advancement.
Since its introduction in 2015, the H175 helicopter has set a benchmark in the super-medium class, achieving over 210,000 flight hours across 55 units in service. Renowned for its long-range, payload capacity, and exceptional flight smoothness, the H175 is adept at handling a diverse array of missions, including disaster response and search & rescue operations, thereby offering an optimal solution for both public service and private aviation needs. This partnership not only strengthens Airbus' foothold in China but also significantly contributes to Guangdong Province's public service infrastructure, promising enhanced efficiency and reliability in critical missions.
