AirAsia Year of the Dragon: Culinary Surprise In-flight
Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X passengers are in for a culinary treat as the airline introduces "Mala Hot Pot Noodles" and "Yuzu Lemon Tea" to its in-flight menu, marking the auspicious Year of the Dragon. Available from January through March 2024, these new offerings are set to enhance the in-flight dining experience with their unique flavors and cultural significance.
In a recent announcement, Ms. Ornanong Methapipattanakul, Director of in-flight products and services for AirAsia Thailand, shared the inspiration behind the new menu items. The "Mala Hot Pot Noodles" are an authentic Sichuan-style soup, featuring chewy egg noodles, fresh vegetables, and an assortment of meatballs, designed to symbolize longevity and prosperity in line with the Year of the Dragon celebrations.
Complementing the noodles is the "Yuzu Lemon Tea," a premium rooibos tea blend with the tanginess of yuzu and lemon, and a touch of AirAsia’s iconic tapioca pearls. This refreshing beverage not only quenches thirst but also offers a visually appealing option for travelers looking to capture their travel moments on social media.
The airline's menu for the first quarter of 2024 also features a variety of other beverages, including Coconut Juice, Coconut Americano, Americano, Latte, Mocha, “Santan Captain" freeze-dried coffee, and “Santan Allstars" Ethiopia Yirgacheffe coffee capsules. Each of these beverages has been carefully selected to cater to the diverse tastes of AirAsia's passengers.
As AirAsia continues to pioneer in providing exceptional in-flight services and culinary experiences, passengers can look forward to more such innovative and culturally inspired offerings in the future. The addition of "Mala Hot Pot Noodles" and "Yuzu Lemon Tea" is just the beginning of a series of exciting developments slated for AirAsia's in-flight menu.
