AirAsia Enhances Travel Experience for Hari Raya 2024
As the festive season of Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaches, bringing with it the annual migration known as the balik kampung, AirAsia gears up to ensure a seamless travel experience for its guests. From April 5 to 15, 2024, travelers are encouraged to follow AirAsia's travel advisory for a hassle-free journey during this bustling period.
To facilitate smooth check-ins, AirAsia introduces its self-check-in feature via the AirAsia MOVE app, available from 14 days to one hour before flight departure. This initiative, aimed at reducing wait times and improving efficiency at the airport, enables travelers to obtain their electronic boarding passes well in advance for flights departing between April 5 and 15, 2024.
Counter check-in services will be exclusively available for passengers requiring special assistance, including those with reduced mobility, infants, pregnant guests, senior citizens, and unaccompanied minors. In particular, pregnant guests will need to complete a form at the counter, and those more than 27 weeks pregnant must present a doctor's medical certificate. Additionally, guests with reduced mobility have the option to pre-book wheelchair services via the AirAsia MOVE app.
For an enhanced inflight dining experience, AirAsia encourages pre-booking meals up to 24 hours before departure, offering up to 44% savings and a guaranteed meal choice. The festive menu includes the celebrated Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak Double Special, available at a promotional price for a limited time.
International travelers are reminded to check and comply with the visa and entry requirements of their destinations, which are subject to change. To ensure a smooth airport experience, guests are advised to arrive early — two hours before domestic flights and three hours prior to international departures. Additionally, the AirAsia MOVE app facilitates easy access to flight status updates and offers a discount on AirAsia Ride bookings.
As AirAsia prepares to accommodate the influx of passengers this Hari Raya, these measures underscore the airline's commitment to providing a smooth, enjoyable travel experience during one of Malaysia's most cherished festivals.
