Air France and KLM Elevate Travel Experience with New Brussels Air&Rail Terminal
Air France and KLM have officially unveiled their newly refurbished Air&Rail Terminal at Brussels-Midi/Zuid train station, marking a significant enhancement in the travel experience for passengers transitioning between rail and air. This development is part of the airlines' commitment to offering seamless connectivity to their hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol airports, and underscores their investment in creating elegant and convenient spaces for travelers.
The inauguration of the lounge in the heart of the Belgian capital is a testament to over two decades of dedication to integrating train and air travel. Offering a blend of sophistication and convenience, the terminal is designed to make rail travel an increasingly appealing alternative to air for short-haul journeys across Europe. KLM CEO Marjan Rintel highlighted the airlines' focus on optimizing the Air&Rail product in collaboration with partners, aiming to offer passengers a smooth and efficient travel experience to over 300 destinations worldwide.
The Air&Rail service allows travelers to book their entire journey under a single reservation, ensuring a seamless transition and support in the event of delays. This integration extends to members of the Flying Blue loyalty program, who benefit from a suite of perks including Miles accumulation, SkyPriority service, and access to the Eurostar Lounge, enhancing the overall travel experience.
Moreover, the addition of a seventh daily high-speed connection between Brussels-Midi/Zuid and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport from June 15 to August 22 demonstrates the airlines' commitment to flexibility and customer satisfaction. Air France and KLM have clearly positioned themselves as pioneers in combining air and rail travel, offering their customers unparalleled convenience and comfort.
