Air Canada Enhances In-Flight Experience with New Sports Channels for Stanley Cup Playoffs
Air Canada is elevating its in-flight entertainment offerings by introducing three new sports channels to its Live TV service, just in time for the NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs. Starting April 19, passengers on select flights can tune into Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet East, with TVA Sports joining the lineup in May.
The addition of these channels is part of Air Canada's broader strategy to enrich the travel experience by allowing passengers to support their favorite hockey teams from the skies. The integration of these sports channels comes at a crucial time when hockey fans are eager to catch every playoff game live.
"We are thrilled to be the only Canadian airline with Live TV, offering the Stanley Cup Playoffs onboard," said John Moody, Managing Director, Onboard Product at Air Canada. "Hockey is a vital part of the Canadian identity, and providing our service in both French and English ensures all our customers can enjoy the excitement."
This expansion of in-flight services not only caters to sports enthusiasts but also enhances the overall passenger experience by providing more content choices on longer flights. As the official airline of the PWHL and a sponsor of the Montreal Canadiens, Air Canada continues to show its dedication to supporting Canadian sports at all levels.
