An aggressive passenger attacked an IndiGo pilot due to a 10-hour flight delay. Video footage is available
An IndiGo passenger on a flight from Delhi to Goa attacked the pilot in the cabin after he announced the flight delay. It is reported that travelers were unable to take off for more than 10 hours due to thick fog.
A video depicting the chaos onboard the plane and the moment when an unknown man rushed up to the pilot and struck him was shared online. According to Simple Flying, the aggressive passenger was apprehended and handed over to law enforcement.
As noted, by the time the video was recorded, one set of flight crew had been replaced by another, so the passenger struck the pilot who had recently entered the plane.
In the video, it can be heard that the crew member was explaining to the weary passengers that the flight had to be delayed due to fog, when suddenly a man rushed up to him and struck the pilot.
There was no altercation, as flight attendants intervened and began shouting at the aggressive traveler. The pilot did not retaliate against the passenger, and they moved to different ends of the plane.
Later, the aggressive passenger was reportedly removed from the plane. Although there were many flights delayed due to fog in Delhi at the time, none of the other passengers resorted to physical violence.
In winter, Goa is typically frequented by travelers seeking to exchange winter landscapes for warm, sun-drenched beaches.
