Aalborg Launches Direct Winter Charter to Hurghada

Aalborg Airport has opened a new charter route to Hurghada, Egypt, with the first flight departing at 08:25 and operating at full capacity. The service introduces a direct winter connection to the Red Sea for Northern Jutland. The inaugural departure marked the start of a seasonal programme aimed at meeting demand for warm-weather destinations during the colder part of the year.
The opening of the route was marked inside the terminal ahead of departure. Passengers boarded via a decorated gate and were offered light refreshments before the morning flight. Airport director Niels Hemmingsen took part in a short ceremony, including the cutting of a ribbon, to formally mark the launch of the new charter service at Aalborg Airport.
Flight schedule and operators confirmed
Flights on the route are operated by Danish airline Jettime on behalf of tour operators Apollo Rejser, Bravo Tours and Spies. Departures are scheduled once a week and will continue until spring 2026. During the Christmas and New Year holiday period, flights operate on Tuesdays, after which the departure day shifts to Wednesdays for the remainder of the season.
The direct charter improves access to Hurghada’s coastal resorts and activities outside hotel areas. Travellers can more easily reach snorkelling spots in the Red Sea, join boat excursions, explore desert landscapes on organised safaris, or visit local markets and marina areas. The route also shortens travel time, removing the need for transfers through larger European airports during the busy winter season.
The route gives Northern Jutland residents another practical option when planning winter holidays, especially for those who prefer direct flights and fixed departure days. The fully booked first flight points to steady demand for warm-weather destinations outside the summer season. With bookings already open for winter 2026/2027, travellers can plan ahead without relying on departures from larger, more distant airports.
