A new attraction in the United Kingdom where adults can behave like children
A brand new attraction in the UK allows adults to act like children while offering plenty of fun for kids. The Balloon Museum invites visitors to "explore the profound relationship between art and emotion through the immersive environment of inflatable art."
The museum occupies three floors and offers 19 exhibitions. One of them is a huge yellow room called Hyperfeeling, essentially a giant ball pit," writes TheSun.
Both adults and children can play in the pool, allowing everyone to get in touch with their inner child—although it may be a bit deep for some younger children. Visitors are given shoe covers to help keep the pool clean.
Other exhibits include the "Swing," where several black and white balls are suspended from the ceiling. While suspended, the balls bounce and collide with each other. Visitors are encouraged to move between the balls, making them crash into each other.
Kaleidoscope is another interactive work where visitors are invited to touch a large digital table to change its colors. Other art installations include a giant inflatable pink rabbit and a large shiny disco ball.
Located on Billingsgate Alley on the banks of the Thames, London's Balloon Museum first opened on December 27, 2023, and has already become a hit with fans on social media.
When the Balloon Museum posted a video on its Instagram page showcasing its attractions—a balloon room, inflatable balloons and figures, and other immersive rides—many followers were impressed by what they saw in the video.
One wrote: "This looks amazing." Another added: "I went with my daughter today and we loved it!" Another wrote: "We had a great time yesterday!"
TikTok user Simplyrasha recently posted a video about her visit to the pop-up museum. In the video, she showed users what to expect inside the immersive attraction, including a large yellow pit with balls, a giant disco ball, and a room where floating bubbles could be popped. She wrote: "The giant ball pit was the best part...the rest of the rooms were more kid-friendly."
Meanwhile, Kiddo Adventures, a family travel blogger specializing in travel, recently visited the new attraction and added: "If you're looking for a family-friendly and exciting experience in London, the Balloon Museum is a must-see attraction that promises a wonderful journey into the world of balloon art."
There is also a bar and lounge at the end of the exhibition where visitors can purchase drinks and snacks.
The exhibition is open from Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 20:00, and on Friday from 12:00 to 22:00. On weekends, it is open on Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm. Prices start at 18 pounds for children and 32 pounds for adults.
The Balloon Museum will be open in London until February 18, 2024. Entrance to the exhibition is limited in time, so visitors will have to wait their turn before getting inside.
