According to tourism experts, in 2024, travelers will think about changing their usual vacation routes and focus on new destinations. Thus, less popular countries for tourism will be able to discover their hidden advantages and become new hotspots for researchers.

Where to go while there is still no significant hype and what to see without the noisy tourist escort? The Daily Mail offers 11 places that are worthy of travelers' attention, according to travel experts.

Alaska

Alexandra Avila, the founder of REYA, a New York-based travel PR company, says that Alaska has begun to attract more and more travelers who want to combine a vacation at the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood with amazing views of nature and snow.

There are activities and offers that can meet the needs of all visitors to this American state. Alexandra Avila said: "Explorers will get a real sense of adventure with stunning views of Alaska's wild landscape from the terrifying heights available during the summer months of July to September."

Congo

According to the travel company Go2Africa, this year the Congo Basin will be a particularly relevant place for nature lovers. It is home to one of the oldest national parks in Africa - Odzala-Kokua, which was established in 1935. In addition, a new luxury camp Kozala Zamba is to open in 2024.

Uganda

Travel expert Alexandra Avila notes that this destination will be interesting for those who are interested in observing the life of animals, namely chimpanzees. It will be possible to visit Kibale National Park, which has the largest population of chimpanzees and is home to the famous British primatologist Jane Goodall. By the way, this year Ms. Goodall will turn 90 years old.

Bhutan

This kingdom was one of the last to resume its activities after COVID and presented a new tourism strategy. It is based on transformation in 3 key areas, namely: "improving sustainable development policies, modernizing infrastructure, and improving the quality of guest services".

Although the country has raised the tourist fee charged for sustainable development from USD 65 to 100, there is a new wellness center that is worth coming to the country. According to Alexandra Avila, it is designed for travelers who "want to take advantage of the natural and spiritual gifts that this country offers."

South Korea

Bruce Poon Tip, founder of G Adventures, predicted that South Korea will be in the highest demand this year. The reasons for this rapid interest can be attributed to the influence of pop culture, namely TV shows and music from North Korea. He explained: "Given the trends in Asia since its opening, South Korea has been a pleasant surprise in terms of its popularity, with the number of tourists doubling in 2023 compared to 2019."

Uzbekistan

According to Bruce Poon Tip: "The states in general have become a hot spot as people are looking to cross big items off their bucket list and move on to lesser-known countries. Thus, Uzbekistan is a country that people want to explore for new experiences and adventures.

Here you can see the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, which will open its doors in April and join the Center for Contemporary Art, which will open in 2019. In addition, the G Adventures guide "The Most Interesting Places in Uzbekistan" lists a number of locations to visit, including the Chashma desert complex, the pilgrimage site of Nurat, and Lake Aidarkul.

Portugal

Significant growth is also recorded in Portugal. Since 2019, the number of travelers traveling to this country has increased by 33% compared to 2022. According to tourism experts, the reason for this is accessibility, fantastic gastronomic culture, and the country's history. In the guidebook, G Adventures offers a seven-day trip "Highlights of Portugal" from Lisbon to Porto. In addition, some of the activities of this trip include a performance of Portuguese folk music in one of the oldest neighborhoods of Lisbon, as well as a tour of the city of Sintra.

Grenada

Experts from Two Nights In, a luxury travel agency that provides VIP-style booking services, believe that the cozy Caribbean island of Grenada will be especially interesting in 2024. This year, the country is going to open Six Senses La Sagesse and Beach House by Silversands Grenada hotels. Thus, it will be possible to get an unforgettable experience and relax in the best conditions on the Caribbean coast.

Montana

According to experts from Two Nights In, this mountainous US state is an ideal place for a winter vacation thanks to "updated infrastructure and new luxury hotels". It is noted that the Big Sky resort: "Gives Aspen, Vail, and Jackson Hole a run for their money as one of the top luxury ski destinations in 2024."

In addition, Albania may well become "Europe's answer to the Maldives" and offer the best sunny coastal vacation.

Philippines

It is recommended to pay attention to the island of Panglao. It will be able to conquer travelers with its white sandy beaches, great diving sites, and authenticity.
