The city of Las Vegas is preparing for an influx of private jets for Super Bowl LVIII, which will take place on February 11. This may cause some inconvenience for passengers.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) predicts 3,500 additional takeoffs and landings from February 7 to 12, most of which will be made by private jets. This is reported by the Independent.

It is expected that 500 private jets will be parked at local airports to bring wealthy fans to the game. However, it is impossible to say for sure whether the vehicles of famous stars who will perform at the halftime show will be among them.

More planes will arrive and depart without parking. They are not delaying to avoid the scramble for parking spaces at the three major Las Vegas airports.

The situation is compounded by the fact that LIV Golf, which is backed by Saudi Arabia, is holding its first Sin City tournament on the eve of the Super Bowl. This will bring even more wealthy sports fans to the city.

Benjamin Leffel, an associate professor of sustainable public policy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is concerned about the environmental impact of the event. So many private jets will have a negative impact on the region's ecology.

The FAA, for its part, has stepped up measures to ensure airspace safety during the Super Bowl and banned the use of drones during the match over the stadium.
