Greece, a resort country that beckons travelers with crystal clear waters, cozy homes, and mouthwatering food, hides deep problems behind the facade of a tourist idyll. According to a study by CBDolie.nl, the state is recognized as "the most stressful country in Europe."

This conclusion is based on several factors, including the prevalence of depressive and anxiety disorders, high levels of stress, and a significant number of working hours per week. YouTubers from the Canadian company Yes Theory traveled to Greece to talk to locals and find out if they really feel so unhappy.

When they arrived in the sunny country, they found the streets of Athens filled with protesters against government plans and economic misery.

Communication with residents partially confirmed the bloggers' fears. One of the capital's residents shared his thoughts: "Yes, in Athens, definitely. It's a very tense country because prices are very uncontrollable and wages are stagnant."

Other Greeks also expressed dissatisfaction with the economic situation, which has deteriorated significantly over the past decade.

Membership in the Eurozone since 2001 has not brought Greece the expected stability, but instead has resulted in political and financial problems. This continues to cause discontent among the people.

As previously reported by TravelWise, in 2023 Greece received more than 32.7 million visitors, which is 15.7% more than in the previous year.
