The territory of the park is divided into two separate zones: High Garrotts and Lower Garrotts. In High Garrotxa, tourists can expect rugged landscapes and rocky valleys, while Lower Gattotxa is home to endless plains.

The most popular activities in the volcanic park are hiking and cycling, with a large number of routes available for all fitness levels.

It is also home to the Salto del Molí dels Murriz, a huge cascading waterfall that is called one of the park's best-kept secrets.

In addition to exploring the natural scenery, vacationers are also recommended to visit the hilltop village of Castelfollit de la Roca. Located between the Fluvia and Toronel rivers, on top of a basalt cliff, this village is considered one of the most picturesque in Catalonia.
