Year-Round Luxury Awaits at Mallorca's Son Bunyola Estate
Nestled in the heart of Mallorca's Tramuntana Mountains, the Son Bunyola Hotel, along with its three opulent villas within Virgin Limited Edition’s expansive 1,300-acre estate, announces its reopening on March 1, 2024. In a significant shift, the estate will now welcome guests throughout the entire year, offering an endless season of Balearic bliss.
After its grand opening in June of the previous year, the Son Bunyola Hotel has quickly risen to prominence. The hotel, a carefully restored 16th-century finca, has been transformed into a 27-bedroom sanctuary of luxury. This year, the hotel extends its warm hospitality beyond the traditional season, inviting guests to savor the mild Mallorcan winter climate and explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site's natural beauty.
To enhance the guest experience, Son Bunyola introduces a weekly calendar of complimentary activities. From yoga and Pilates sessions to wine tastings with the estate's sommelier, and guided walks through the scenic surroundings, the estate ensures a memorable stay. Additional offerings include tennis coaching with breathtaking views, kayak tours from the estate's beach, creative painting classes, and bespoke perfume workshops.
For those seeking tranquility, the estate's 28-meter azure swimming pool, with vistas over vineyards and the iconic Sa Foradada rock formation, offers a serene escape. Alternatively, guests can opt for a more secluded stay in one of the three luxurious villas, which have been refurbished to reflect the hotel’s elegantly relaxed design ethos. Each villa boasts a private pool and access to the estate’s comprehensive amenities, including tennis and volleyball courts, and two exquisite restaurants.
The estate's dining scene is led by the main restaurant, Sa Terrassa, open daily year-round, under the guidance of Executive Chef Brenda Lisiotti. The restaurant specializes in contemporary Mediterranean dishes crafted from local, seasonal ingredients. For a casual dining experience, the estate's second restaurant, Sa Tafona, opens in June within the historic olive press building, offering a playful array of street food and tapas.
Son Bunyola's year-round operation marks a new chapter in luxury travel to Mallorca, blending historical elegance with modern comforts and a rich array of activities. Whether seeking adventure or relaxation, guests will find an unparalleled experience awaiting them in the Tramuntana Mountains, making Son Bunyola a true year-round destination.
