Vietjet Launches New Route Strengthening Vietnam-Laos Connectivity
Vietjet has recently inaugurated a direct flight route connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with Vientiane, Laos. This development comes as a significant boon at the onset of spring, heralding a new chapter in economic, tourism, and cultural exchanges between the two neighboring nations.
The launch ceremony saw the participation of Mr. Souvannaseng Amphay, Deputy Consul General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside dignitaries from the Department of Civil Aviation of Laos, various airports, Lao Airlines, and an enthusiastic crowd of locals and tourists. The introduction of this route is celebrated as a milestone in fostering closer ties between Vietnam and Laos.
Vietjet's new Ho Chi Minh City - Vientiane route offers four return flights weekly, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This service promises an efficient and enjoyable journey to the "Land of a Million Elephants," reducing the travel time to just 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Vietjet Vice President, remarked on the significance of the new route, emphasizing its role in not only shortening travel times between the two countries but also in enhancing Vientiane's connectivity to other regions and the world through Vietjet's extensive international network.
Vientiane, the Lao capital, is known for its scenic beauty, historic charm, architectural marvels, and vibrant cultural scene. Situated along the majestic Mekong River, the city is a treasure trove of temples, pagodas, and unique cuisine, offering an immersive experience into Lao culture. Conversely, Ho Chi Minh City stands as a dynamic metropolis, embodying Vietnam's economic strength and cultural richness, and serving as a gateway to international destinations.
Vietjet invites travelers to experience the beauty of both cities, offering flights on modern, eco-friendly aircraft, complemented by professional service and a range of onboard amenities. Passengers can look forward to enjoying Vietnamese culinary delights, such as Banh mi and Pho Thin, among other global flavors, making every flight a journey of cultural discovery and enjoyment.
This new route by Vietjet not only signifies the airline's commitment to providing accessible and enriching travel experiences but also underscores the growing relationship between Vietnam and Laos, paving the way for increased mutual understanding and cooperation.
