Vacation in Kumarakom: arrive by helicopter at a luxurious resort
The helicopter route between Kochi International Airport and the popular tourist destination of Kumarakom in India is gaining popularity among tourists. The route is not very tiring and takes about 25 minutes.
Helicopter tourism services are offered by Kerala Tourism, providing tourists with an unforgettable aerial experience through picturesque landscapes, as reported by OutlookTraveller.
The new route significantly reduces travel time, covering the distance from the international airport to the popular tourist destination in about 25 minutes. Additionally, the helicopters can accommodate 5 to 10 passengers, contributing to greater occupancy at the resorts.
Tourists are offered two luxurious landing sites, specifically at the Suri Resort and Kumarakom Lake Resort, both already equipped with helipads. The state government's latest helicopter tourism project may soon be launched in collaboration with private companies.
The renowned Kumarakom resort attracts domestic and international travelers annually with its backwaters, lakes, and historical sites. The city features beaches surrounded by coconut palms and idyllic shores that remain relatively undiscovered.
Simultaneously, the resort is becoming more accessible through the new Helitaxi project. The local government will support stakeholders in initiatives aimed at promoting "helicopter tourism." It is emphasized that Helitaxis could experience significant demand among wealthy tourists in a short time.
However, the organizers do not plan to stop there. The concept envisions expanding the network by utilizing existing helipads and exploring new collaborations with private landowners.
