Travel expert names the best place and time to cruise
Cruise travel offers travelers a broad sector of services, excellent service and variety to explore new destinations. However, during the holiday season, you can always find a unique time when the cost of a cruise trip can be significantly cheaper.
Travel insiders have shared their secrets of successful booking to help you save money. The Mirror shared the best time to book a trip and where you can go for the most favorable fare.
According to Melody Moser, a travel expert, the best time to book is during the off-season from January to March. According to her, during this time, many cruise lines offer discounts to attract travelers and those looking for a cheap vacation.
"Transfer cruises can also be a great way to save money on your trip. These are one-way cruises that take place when a ship moves to a new home port," Moser added.
According to Yasim Pekel, travel expert at Blue Cruise, you can book a cruise both in advance and at the last minute. He says that both options can be accompanied by discounts and special offers, and therefore can save travelers money.
"Savings can range from 20-30% or more for early bookings to 50% or more for late bookings if you are brave enough to plan at the last minute. It looks like 2024 is going to be a particularly busy year for cruise ships, so it may not be the year to take the risk if companies don't sell all their rooms," Pekel notes.
When choosing a trip, experts advise paying attention to Norway, which was named the most popular cruise destination, as well as the Caribbean and Canary Islands, which offer an escape from winter to summer sun.
