Top 3 tourist traps that actually bring visitors an unforgettable experience
Some tourist traps (places that are deliberately over-hyped by guides and agents) are actually very cool, and you should definitely enjoy them despite their touristy reputation.
Recently, a poll was launched on Reddit to find out if users have ever been deceived about the significance of a tourist location, and in the end, it turned out to be really great.
In this wave, commentators named three places that were really worth the money and the risk of being deceived.
Some called the Bund Observation Tunnel in Shanghai such a trap, while others mentioned the Hofbrauhaus in Munich in this context. According to tourists, it is actually a great place to eat and drink, despite its enormous popularity.
"The food we got was phenomenal, the beer was obviously good, and the atmosphere was eclectic with several couples around us speaking different languages to each other," reads a comment. "We visited a few smaller brewpubs but felt Hofbrauhaus was the best."
Instead, the top three is rounded out by a favorite place for Lord of the Rings fans. New Zealand's Hobbiton is probably the place to visit. "Hobbiton," the comment reads. "Yes, I will take a picture of me and my boyfriend in the doorway of the hobbit house."
