To travel to Kenya you need to obtain an electronic permit
The Ministry of Interior and National Administration and the State Department of Immigration and Citizenship have developed and are using the electronic travel authorization (eTA) for the Republic of Kenya. It will determine the right to travel for tourists.
The eTA system does not decide whether a traveler can enter Kenya. Immigration officers will determine the admission of travelers upon arrival. This is written on the website of the Government of Kenya.
The application must be submitted in advance, even three months in advance. It is even recommended to apply after booking your accommodation and plane tickets. The system will collect biographical data about you and ask you certain questions.
An eTA permit is also required for infants and children under 18. The application must be filled out by a parent or guardian.
The permit costs $30. You can pay by card. The system does not accept cash. Later, the Kenyan authorities also promise to develop a special Kenya Travel Authorization application for the permit.
