The Magic of Giving: American Airlines' Wish Flight to Disney World
American Airlines, in collaboration with Make-A-Wish® and Disney, is set to create a magical experience for children battling critical illnesses by launching the "Wish Flight" as part of World Wish Month celebrations. On April 17, 28 families will embark on a journey from Dallas-Fort Worth to Orlando, Florida, fulfilling their dreams of visiting Walt Disney World Resort®.
The initiative kicked off with a heartfelt celebration at American's Fort Worth headquarters, setting the stage for an extraordinary adventure. The Wish Flight aims to offer more than just travel; it's a journey of hope, joy, and unforgettable memories. From a vibrant send-off at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to interactive entertainment onboard, every aspect of the flight is designed to delight the families and create a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Upon arrival in Orlando, the excitement continues with a warm welcome and a stay at Give Kids The World Village, ensuring the magic lasts throughout their visit to Disney World. This effort is part of a longstanding partnership between American Airlines, Disney, and Make-A-Wish, a collaboration that has seen over 155,000 wishes granted since 1980.
American Airlines is further committing to the cause by donating all AAdvantage® miles collected in April to Make-A-Wish, with a target of up to 50 million miles. This gesture highlights the airline's dedication to connecting people through travel and supporting the communities it serves, underscoring the significant impact collective generosity can have on the lives of children facing health challenges.
